Queen was one of the worst LBs in the NFL this year.

He made a few big plays, but he was absolutely awful in pass coverage (110+ passer rating) and missed a ton of tackles.

Ruiz was a safe pick and that's about how he performed.

When were the Saints in a position to draft White, LF, CEH or Mathieu

If I remember the reports the Saints would have liked to take TM7 but passed because they didn't think being back in NOLA would be good for him. Which was probably the right decision for both parties.

Its weird how 30 teams passed on the six LSU players in the Super Bowl.

I wonder if we drafted 6 players from LSU this year would Brady go ahead and retire now.

think the OP meant to say the Saints should draft the LSU players when they fit a position of need and are rated high enough to be drafted at that pick

Pretty sure Underhill said they didn’t think he fit our scheme

You are a fan. You can advocate for whoever you want. Just realize that’s dumb.

These are professionals with their livelihood on the line with million dollar scouting departments. Pick the best player who will fit in and be the best Saint player regardless of school. Hell, I don’t care if a player is from Germany. If it’s somebody who can sack the QB 22 times a season, I don’t care if it’s a transvestite midget from Saturn. Get the best player regardless of college.

Guard was the right pick. We got exposed on the interior last year and Brees obviously wasn’t as durable. Needed to solidify that. Hoping Ruiz makes a big leap next year though cause I was a little disappointed in his play but with no offseason I get it. Still think he is more of a center and McCoy needs to kick out to guard though.

Secondly there isn’t room on our defense for a Will linebacker. We need a Mike or Strong side linebacker that can take on blocks and is serviceable in coverage. We only play two linebackers most of the time so your 3rd safety is kind of like your will.
