Any help is greatly appreciated, also this is my first time posting on this board and I’m not very tech knowledgeable.
I’ve got an older model Xbox one (Halo edition) that I haven’t turned on it almost a year, I decided to do so today (which was a pain in the arse because it logged me out and I didn't know my password). Obviously my gold subscription had expired but in the market place I only see one month and three month options, why is that? I want a year subscription like I’ve always done. I have zero interest in game pass (which I’m not even sure what that is, best I can tell it’s just digital copies of older games?) I grew up playing multiplayer Halo, COD and Gears, that’s all I want to do now. What’re my subscription options or best way to go about getting back online? Thank y’all

Thank you, I’d hate to buy something off of amazon but I may drop the hammer on that. No reason to hurry though, currently doing a 50gb update for COD which is bullshite. I’m sure I’ve got plenty more updates as well

FYI Game Pass subscription gets you access to both Gears and Halo titles and also grants you "xbox live" for multiplayer matches

I’ve got hard discs of all the gears and COD except the most recent ones which I have digital copies of (aside from COD Cold War that I haven’t bought yet). I’ve also got the master chief collection.

I'm not sure it still works, but you used to be able to load up on up to 3 years of a "gold" subscription (the max you can purchase), and then pay for the $1 game pass upgrade and get 3 years of game pass for that $1.

This article from November says it was still working at that point.

MS is phasing out 1 year live memberships. They are really pushing Gamepass now. Like the other poster said you can still get year memberships from Amazon. I just bought 3 years worth and will hopefully be able to get Gamepass for 3 years for a dollar when my current one expires like I did last time. You might want to look into doing that too. There is some good stuff on there and if you can get it for a dollar for several years it def worth it.

All new first party MS games (Halo, Gears,Forza, etc and now Bethesda games) are released day one on Gamepass and stay there. There are some other games that release day one too. Other titles that are 6-12 months old come and go like Netflix. Its really a cool service and has introduced me to many awesome games that I likely would not have tried if not for the service.
