Time is a precious commodity and when the audiences time is being wasted in these ways, it shows a lack of respect for you as a customer.

Edited to add that much like House and Sherlock, one can think "if I lacked emotion and empathy, what is the most sociopathic solution to this problem?" This is every primary and secondary character's motive and it becomes extremely tedious if you binge watch.
