After all, it is clearly Trump supporters that are burning down America's cities.

No idea what their endgame is.
Looks like it is starting to fall some at this point.
Someone is going to be left holding a shitload at a high price.

The difference is that Antifa directed their anger towards private citizens and businesses across the nation. About 200 Trump supporters directed it at congress.

These "terrorist" are not coming for me. I'm more afraid of an activist DA letting criminals out of prison than whatever these people are up to.

No but it gave them cause to go ahead with it. They think it was enough to warrant this reaction and of course it doesn't matter what we think

This is kind of what I was thinking. Sure you could go back and find some people concerned about it. But at the time it was pretty damn popular (and I understand why) and the original one passed by a vote of like 98-1 in the Senate.

But the second commenter is right. If only you repub dorks cared this much about US government over reach when your fricking dudes wrote and signed the laws now used against you.
Eliminating rights for the perception of safety.....sounds familiar. Basically every progressive governor and mayor did exactly that in 2020.

Being a US citizen does not preclude someone from being a terrorist.
It doesn't.
But they didn't give a shite when domestic terrorists targeted private property and American citizens over the summer. They only got alarmed when people took out their anger on congress.

THAT is, IMO, an act of terrorism that threatens the safety of the general public.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki, pressed on the riots in Portland and Seattle, said President Biden "condemns violence" and supports "peaceful protests" but said "smashing windows is not protesting and neither is looting."
Psaki was asked during the White House press briefing Monday for Biden’s reaction to recent unrest in the Pacific Northwest.
Fox
Biden has said he condemns the violence in Portland. While I don't agree with everything he does (which goes for every other president), he at least knows how to communicate.. Or at least surrounds himself with people who help him successfully communicate to the country..
And if anyone can actually say with a straight face that Trump was a good communicator then I just can't take anything you say serious.
While these fricks in Portland and Seattle need to be arrested and serve their time, they are not targeting people. Like what's her name? Marjorie Taylor Greene..who indicated support to execute some democrat people. shite like that will be taken serious.
On January 6th, there were people going after law makers. They have to take this shite serious.
