this was touched on in the guy who wanted to be his own GC thread a couple of days back.
subs want constant work. one guy breaking up their work for a one off job instead of constant customers/contractors is a pain. may be better to hire a GC and pay the 20% upcharge just to get people to take the work instead of direct with subs.
