Fark Question for Orko or Stout or somebody.

If I wanted to learn to do this what would I need to get. What program would pretty much talk me through how to do it?
I need something fairly easy as I am not of much use with computers.

I d-loaded GIMP but I have not went through the tutorials to figure it out. GIMP is for pics and I don;t know what they use for the GIFs

I have Photoshop 7. I've been at this for just over 7 years. You need to practice and practice and practice. It was trial and error for the first few months or so. At that time there was not much help on line, but now I think theres a lot of tuts and what not. Did I mention you will need to practice.

I started 1 1/2 months ago and you really have to teach yourself with introduction from online tutorials.
If there is something you seek to know, simply google "Layers Photoshop Tutorial" and go from there. The internet is a big ol' junkyard but like every junkyard, you will find a gem or two. Do not read photoshop tutorials until you need to do the task it is explaining, it will confuse you to no ends.
Again, teach yourself, and you have a question don't be afraid to ask it. The guys on Tigerdroppings are the best farkers you will find, and the most helpful too. Just have fun!

you can do gifs on gimp. kinda maticulous and time consuming but it can be done
