Hoosier Pass is a good easy hike nearby - GREAT bang for your buck in terms of views vs. time spent hiking. Mohawk Lakes is a bit longer and very scenic. Quandary Peak is an 'easy' 14er. Mt. Democrat is also an easier 14er in the area.

The toughest hike in the area would be the DeCaLiBron - four 14ers in one day. Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln, Bronn. I'd only do this with a lot of research.

You can drive all the way up to the top of Mt Evans
Check the weather forecast and road conditions especially at the higher elevations

There are plenty of places you can stop on the way, get out and you can do some short hikes that way if you want
