We've seen and have been critical of Wade's defenses for years. It has always been an issue in some way. "Next year when we get X guys the defense will improve." Bama was hot and we were not beating them, but we could have not given them so many free uncontested shots. Not as hard to be draining three's like practice when you have 0 pressure on you. Still an impressive night for the Tide but when you're wide open, it's a lot easier to do anything. You notice how whenever we had they ball they're immediately in man to man pressuring us? They wouldn't even allow us breathing room, we just played the statistical hope they miss/rebound game. I love Wade and he's been great to us, but he really needs to figure a solid defense out.

This is why I hate the religious like devotion to analytics. The numbers don’t create themselves and teams aren’t going to shoot in the low 30s by taking wide open 3s. As the late great Kobe Bryant said about analytics “they tell you what happened they don’t tell you how it happened.”
