I'm for the overall strategy of finding an experienced/excellent LB or DL coach to make a trio with Raymond and that LB/DL coach. Then based on interviews, find the other of the LB/DL coach and give him a shot at DC.

That would have to be an intensive and very detailed "hypothetical" interview though.

Is David Reeves that guy? eh, he's more of a background in DBs. But could work.

Is that some retired guy (or nearing it)? Joe Kines comes to mind. Not very exciting hire, but I don't give two shits about age or excitement. But that's not what we're looking for. Stay away from that model.

Is that Charlie Partridge? Fits this model. I'm guessing he wants to promote up. Is an excellent DL coach.

It seems other than Freeman all candidates have to have either played for and/or worked with Orgeron previously or have some connection to Pete Carroll. Which pisses me off. You want to give somebody a chance? go for it. Want to give somebody a second or third chance? please no.
