I went to the Southland Mall a year ago for the first time in probably 10 years.
The bright, clean, new H&M looks so out of place in there. It just overall seems dirty and depressing now.
So many memories there growing up. It’s sad to see it now.

When H&M was announced, I was shocked that Houma of all places was getting one even before some other cities in Louisiana.
If I remember correctly, H&M started construction before Sears decided to shut down.
They should have moved H&M to the Sears parcel, but Sears could have owned that parcel where they sat like in most locations.
