Well keeping loaded guns in a house with kids is idiotic I don’t care what you say.

That same argument can be made for bug spray, power tools, bleach or swimming pools.

ALL GUNS ARE LOADED. That's the way they should be treated. Ready gun is ALWAYS loaded/chambered and ready to fire.

You're not one of those folks who thinks a loaded revolver is somehow "safer" than an unloaded semiautomatic pistol are you?

Maybe my kids are just different but I’ve had guns in the house since before they were born. When they were toddlers they were put up. As they got older, it was driven into them that guns are absolutely not to be touched unless they ask me first. Then as the got older they were drilled constantly if they see a gun it’s loaded until they clear it or I clear it.

My kids have been going to the range and shooting with me since they were young. My son (14) got a .22 rifle when he was 3 for his Christmas present.

My daughter (16) has been shooting a gp100, 300blk, and .22 pistols since she was around 7 or 8.

Regardless of what one thinks, kids learn gun safety but only if you teach them.
