In the 1970s, when the Swine Flu vaccine was a disaster, people understood. Today, people are so religious about vaccines being safe that they will gladly ignore all of the evidence to the contrary and worship at the foot of the medical idols.

This is actually the fricking opposite dude.
People trusted vaccines more back then. The rise of anti-vaccines was within the last two decades.
