Who says it works well?
Is anyone flying to Denmark to see a cancer specialist? The idea that these countries have better healthcare is laughable. And Europeans aren’t nearly as pampered as Americans. We put 90+ year olds on ventilators because we let the family members make decisions. Those patients go home to die in Europe (which is probably the right call), but in the US they end up being a hospital acquired infection or some bullshite data point they can use to say our health system is worse.
They pay like 20% more in taxes. Think about how much more healthcare and education you could get if you spent 20% of your earnings on it every year.
It’s not free. Nothing is free. They are just paying for it upfront.
