This in a nutshell.
It's the kindest and most loving thing you can do for them.
They know when it's time. We just try to put if off longer for our own personal reasons.

I feel for you...mine has cancer and I know this same thing will require my doing for our little guy months from now.

Be strong for your buddy... as much as it sucks.

I had to let my best friend of 17 years be put to rest only 2hours ago. I waited too long and wish that I hadn’t. That dog was a better friend than most of my human friends. Gonna miss him for a very long time. I explained to my girls that God put animals on earth to make our lives better and he certainly did that for us. It was just our time to say goodbye
