The only similarities are that they both scored a lot of points and they both sought out favorable matchups.
LSU ran a constant spread offense, sending five receivers out running various pass routes that extended the defense and created matchup problems all over the field.
Bama runs a lot of max protect, play-action passing with two or three receivers, using motion and the real threat of Najee Harris running for 10-yards a pop looming in the minds of the linebackers and safeties to keep them honest... not to mention one of the best O-lines in college history.
Both GREAT offenses. Both very different.
