Franchise players should at least be able to give input...especially when ownership tells him they want his input. Then they don’t even interview who he suggests. Watson said he wanted them to interview (not hire, interview) Bieniemy and they don’t even request an interview from him. If they aren’t going to respect his opinion then don’t even ask for it.

Absolutely not. I don’t care who that franchise player is, the owner of the team owes them no explanation or consultation at all.

The only time the GM/President/Owner should ask any player’s opinion on anything football related is about their contract and that’s it.

Who says they asked for it? Only thing I read was that he offered his opinion, not that they consulted him in any way.
Either way, it doesn’t matter. His role as far as the Texans is to quarterback the team. That’s it.

There is no positive spin on this story. If he's bothered by lack of consultation he's a headcase.
