He threw up empty stats on a team that went nowhere. Half of his wins were against the Jaguars. Y’all are too caught on what the numbers are rather than the how/why.

Can you win a championship with Watson as your starting QB? Absolutely. But you will never make a Super Bowl with him being the catalyst. He’s not in that Mahomes/Rodgers/Allen tier. He’s not in the Tannehill/Jackson/Wilson/Brady/Dak category either. He’s in the Cousins/Wentz/Goff/Carr/Jimmy GQ/Stafford tier where he’s good enough that are you aren’t looking to get rid of him, but he’s definitely not that next level guy who can take a mediocre roster and put them in the playoffs or take an above average roster and make them Super Bowl champions.

His contract is the worst in football right now. And yes I am aware of Wentz’s, and he has the second worst.

Agree to disagree

I think Watson is actually improving instead of regressing or remaining static.

I, unfortunately have watched the majority of Texans games this year, and he’s getting better, and it’s noticeable from year to year.

Dude that’s just a very bad take. You clearly have not watched many of Watson’s games. Watson is absolutely a top 10 QB...arguably top 5. He literally has one of the worst O-lines, has no running game, his best wr this season was Brandin Cooks, and had a defense that was one of the worst in the league. Watson absolutely balled out this year considering all this and coaching decisions literally lost them at least 4 games they should have won.
