I would be interested to know how hard Drink was really trying to keep him around.
I know he was a holdover from the previous staff, but he kind of faltered down the stretch.

There was no effort made to keep him. He could have came back next year if he wanted but he was on thin ice. It’s a good idea for him to restart his clock and get a bit more job security

Drink will kick Walters arse so bad on the recruiting trail he’ll be back to taking the red eye to Colorado in no time
