Seems like a lateral move at best. Walters is an up and comer, could have had a better gig than that if he waited it out.

I would be interested to know how hard Drink was really trying to keep him around.

I know he was a holdover from the previous staff, but he kind of faltered down the stretch.

There was no effort made to keep him. He could have came back next year if he wanted but he was on thin ice. It’s a good idea for him to restart his clock and get a bit more job security

This was a god send for Missouri

Walters was terrible, but this gives Bert an instant in, to state of Missouri recruiting, especially st.louis/kc.
