now every rule is because of this one family

yeah...our lease has about 12 rules. Most of which seem like common sense for safety, stewardship, responsible hunting, etc. But over half of those rules are traced back to this one idiot and his idiot kids about 8 years ago. They were kicked out, but now we have rules like, "No joy riding ATVs on property after dark or between the hours of X-Y and A-B during legal hunting seasons."

we started out with ~ 750 acres and there were 5 of us...
years later we had 5000 acres under lease and 60 members...
everyone had to be a member of the NRA which gave us discounts on insurance...saved our butts later on...
incorporated as a NFP club...
map at the main camp site and you had to pin in and remove your pin at the end of the day...
saved some people when we went looking for them after they didn't show up after dark...
we had a number of camp stands that we used when we drove dogs...
I wouldn't be suprised of some posters here belong to that club we started 40+ years ago...
