I’m not a Jason Garrett fan at all, but hiring him will be an upgrade over Anthony Lynn.
1) Garrett isn’t known for his in-game coaching abilities, but how many games did Lynn lose in the past couple of seasons because of his terrible decisions that Garrett could have won?
2) Herbert looks like he’s going to be a great QB. Garrett is largely responsible for the development of both Romo and Dak. Two QBs that have flaws, but came out of nowhere to be Pro Bowl caliber players.
3) In the past 11 seasons, the Chargers have finished 7-9, 8-8, or 9-7 in seven of those eleven seasons.
That fits perfectly with Jason Garrett’s record as a HC. He’s on his way to becoming the next Jeff Fisher. He just needs a couple of more seasons of 8-8 football.
