FWIW - I always wear a mask in public places, BUT

the biggest slap in the face of the mask thing for me is how people say it’s a polite, courteous, unselfish act. The frick it is.

95% of our society doesn’t even say Thank You to someone opening the door for them or saying God Bless You after someone sneezes. Or he’ll, Merry Christmas. More times than not people don’t even respond to a cordial greeting in public like Good Morning, Afternoon, or Hello.

My parents raised me with manners. To be polite and courteous to others. And to go out of my way to do so to even strangers. 90% of society today could GAF.

But yet if I don’t want to wear a useless mask I’m the inconsiderate and selfish one all the sudden.

This. That's usually their ace in the hole toward the end of a mask debate. "Is it REALLY that big of a deal to just wear a mask??" in a sing songy condescending tone. frick off
