If we use your logic no one will be great. When you lose everybody try to pick you apart. Just last year I saw how everyone picked Justin Fields apart when they lost to Clemson. Now that Osu won and he played a great game he is awesome (which he may be). When Joe Burrow lost I think 3 games his first year starting for Lsu you could pick his faults apart. Then the next season they go undefeated and when the championship he is the best quarterback ever. The narrative changes for some people on every win and loss. You can loss a game and still be great. You can't win them all.

I think the difference between boom or bust at NFL these days include strategic intelligence and mental toughness. Burrow had both even when he lost 3 games that first year at LSU. He could read the field to anticipate almost intuitively and had that “whatever it takes” to win mentality.

As demonstrated in the YouTube link a few posts above, there is reason to question both of those key factors with Lawrence. He’s an extremely talented QB and has the physical aspects to compete well in the NFL but we will wait to see about the rest. Every snap has big, fast men gunning for you in the NFL.
