re: General security camera discussion (was "Unifi Protect security cameras")

I definitely do. Caught a 5th one on cam but he checked out the trap and ran away. I can see the vicinity that they're coming from. I have an unconditioned (so not really sealed) storage room that's detached from the house but the roof is shared. Not sure how to stop them from entering there without significant renovations. I also have 3 big oaks that hang over the house, so I'm not sure that's even worth it. I'll probably keep playing this game for a few weeks, then if I still have a problem I'll call a pro.

As for the surveillance obsession, I'm trying to build a business out of it so I kind of have to be obsessed. Not sure if those of you who pop into this thread are quite this interested, but in case you are I'll update once I've started my open source Protect clone that will work with any ONVIF cam.
