Fishfightersdaufhter,
I was really saddened to read about your father’s passing, but so happy that he got to slip away peacefully after a wonderful time together with his family.
I am a longtime lurker on the ODB. I rarely, if ever, post on this forum. But, fishfighter was always one of my favorite posters on here, someone who I aspired to be more like. I never met him, but a very good friend of mine had the pleasure of taking part in one of the pirogue builds. I always thought that was one of the coolest things anyone could have ever done for his fellow ODB’ers.
My prayer is that my sons will be able to express half of the love, admiration and respect that you shared about your Dad when my time comes. **They are both teenagers now, so I’ve got a ways to go with that. ;-)
Prayers for your Mom and the entire family as y’all carry on the legacy that he left behind.
