For some reason I watch the show Gold Rush around Christmas even though I never watch it any other time. Was bored with my dad one year when a marathon was on and ever since I associate it with Christmas.
I watched some of a gold mining show with my dad Yesterday. He watches all of the Alaska shows whether they're mining or homesteading. If I stop and watch any of them with him, he tells me more about the people on those shows than he does any real people he knows. He loves the logging shows too. I get to hear stories about NELA loggers from his 47 years working for International Paper. He knows who owns every acre of land from the Mississippi to Bossier, down to Pineville, and up into Arkansas. When we travel together in the car, he tells me about buying timber from the owners.

Rise of the Guardians count, or does having Santa in the movie make it a Christmas movie?
