This got me thinking about a Mardi Gras meet back when I was at LSU in the late seventies. There was even a men's team back then and they finished runner up a couple times (Vega?).
That annual Mardi Gras meet was a big deal as I recall.
I don't remember many specifics, but LSU had a female gymnast at that time that looked like a mother with her children when they all lined up. She was an all American if I am remembering right. Dang, I must be getting old.
