That's the problem. Good OL are not really "fat" like you are thinking. They are large men, but carry themselves really well and are very athletic and strong.

This. You see it when they leave the NFL, drop 50 lbs and are like 245 with a six pack.

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that the most fertile ground for good OL prospects is the the Corn Belt where you have lots of farmland and families with multiple children.
