my water company said that i used 10k more gallons this month and i can't see any leak in the yard.

Are you the original owner of the house? If not, have your bills all been relatively the same?

My prediction is that if you haven't noticed any unusual wet spots around the yard, then your water co must've come read the meter for the first time in a very long time have simply been averaging the usage over the past decade.
