This guy started a website named Fark.com where amongst other things you could post photoshopped pictures. He chose the word "fark" supposedly cuz it was a chat room euphemism for the word "f*ck" or it was just spelled that way by drunks.

Originally, Fark.com contained no content except for that image of the squirrel with large testicles. (You know that one?) Then the site blew up in popularity, and now it's gets like 5 million veiwers a day. But it costs bucks to see and post your farks.

I thought he created fark.com because his friend told him the four letter word domains were becoming unavailable soon? "Fark" came up because out of testosterone induced thinking, he concluded it'd be good to have something sounding like "f*ck" in his domain.

Yea , I know that pic, but still don't get the gist of this one on tiger droppings. Do I need to spend more time on here? What are the topics here? also, what is it when someone says'germans'?

This community creates photoshopped images that primarily mock opposing teams' coaches and players in a humorous fashion and also pictures that support the LSU tigers. There are fans from other schools, like myself, for some good measure.

This is a fark a USC fan would produce (I did ):

I paraphrased that stuff off of wikipedia, so...you know.

But it did have a blurb saying that he tells the story that way (originating as a chat room euphemism) cuz it is more interesting that way, whether it is the true origin or not. But the mo-fo is rich, that's for certain.

I am going to look to find it, there isn't a PM feature on these boards right?

In any event, I'll post it here.

Come on, give me a break. New to the whole 'posting all night b/c nothing else to do'.
I'm trying to learn, though. Kudos?

I'm not positive what Germans means, I'm a fairly recent lurker and a very recent poster. I've inferred, however, if you are called German it ain't good. It's like being called a "French Boy" by your sergeant.

Whenever someone posted old news the standard response was "Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor!"

If you've seen the movie Animal House then you know the "Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!" bit, which is what it turned into. Here is the clip

LINK

Then it got shortened to Germans

Actually it is free to post on Fark.com. If you want, you can choose to pay $5/month to subscribe to Total Fark.

Fark.com is actually a news aggregate site, whereas people post news headlines from across the world; but they change the headlines to make them more humorous, then people post comments about the articles.

In the regular, free Fark.com only a few selected news headlines are posted but in the Total Fark area every single article posted are shown.
