My son got one on one attention last year from Roland Barbay. It was a great moment. I am very proud of him for many reasons, and in football he has done very well as a young boy.

As a 6 year old, he played up to the 7 & 8 year old league. Last year, he was was one of only two 7 year olds that made the all stars. He starts practice as an 8 year old Monday and I can't wait to see how he does. By the way, he is a huge Tiger fan.

Thank you for letting me brag a little and sorry for some of the blurry photos.

I generally refrain from saying negative things about LSU Tigers past and present, but Roland Barbay was the Chaz Ramsey of his time. He was a cheap-shot artist, and a disgrace to our school.

How was he cheap? Did he take any cheap shots with crack back blocks? Did he have a reputation for being dirty around the league?

+1 good to see kids getting involved in sports at an early age. I think it gives them the basic mental toughness and team work skills every kid should have.

I don't have any of my own but I think this could only help all those kids out there in the future.

You need to calm down. You must not have heard the old saying, " 8 yr old studs turn out to be 13 yr old duds". I think you need to step back and see how he is at 18 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he turns out not to be any good and just an average student but has given it his all, I will be just as proud. I just wanted to share the moment that is now.

Congrats Ambassador.......it is something to be proud about.....I certainly would be as a father. BTW, Barbay is NOT a cheapshot artist......some people just don't know when to shut their trap.......that above post is ridiculous

Thanks Puttytat, it was a proud moment for us. The referenced post doesn't bother me. Some people will always try to rain on someone elses parade.
