I posted this in the other thread, on this board I’m probably looked at as a Lonzo fan, but I don’t know that I’m as high on him as his Twitter fans or ESPN.

To be fair though, I haven’t really thought about where I would rank him in terms of NBA players, but 54 seems high.

I initially said to myself, well, let me see the list because maybe that’s right, he’s better than a lot o detractors give him credit for.

Looked at the list...

Yeah, Lonzo is about 15-20 players too high on that list at a minimum(frankly it’s just a lazy and bad list overall that feels like they put no work into). And I don’t hate Lonzo, but a half season sample size that was front loaded and backloaded with poor play does not put you over Tobias Harris, Gallo, Covington, Dragic, Herro, Bogdan, Serge, Eric Bledsoe, D’Angelo Russell, Adams, Harrell, Aaron Gordon to name just a few.

I mean the list is damn long of players he shouldn’t be in front of until he not only improves on things like his defense, but shows consistency in the cherry picked sample size ESPN(and some Pels fans) used to justify him.

Of course the list as a whole is a mess. People know I think highly of Christian Wood, but what fricking insanity do you put Lamarcus Aldridge, a still 19 and 8 player with very good defense, shooting 50% and 39% from three, at 95 while guys like Wood and Lonzo are 40 spots above them? Jamal Murray above Bradley Beal, Kyrie Irving, Karl Anthony Towns, Rudy Golbert and Brandon Ingram. Just, no
