Zach Arnett from MSU seems like a hot assistant on the market with a 3-3-5 old school defense that brings lots of pressure. Good run defense and held UGA to 8 rush yards. Thoughts?

One thing I can assure you, O is so vested in his 4-3 comments he’ll fall on his sword for a 4-3 guy. To go Arnett would be a complete reversal from his Aranda no attacking D 3-4 comments all summer.

Maybe Ponamsky thinks he can help O spin his way through more hypocrisy, who knows?

UGA offense is terrible. The worst coordinator in the history of the sport according to the rant Steve Ensminger put 400+ yards 345 passing and scored 34 point on him.

Like it or not if O is here the defense will be a 4-3. There is nothing wrong with that you can win with that defense and the reason you have a shot with the number 1 recruit in the country right now is because he Isabel wants to be a hand in the dirt Defensive end in a 4-3.

You must only watch LSU because Georgia’s offense has become way better with Daniels at Quarterback

Arnett with our talent would immediately become one of the best defenses in the country.

Just pointing out the arguments that will be made if he is hired and then he inevitably gives up a first down lol.

Why didn’t O hire him last year when we had an opening?

No one cares about hypocrisy if you are winning.

Seems like to stop or slow modern CFB offenses you needs faster defenders on the field. With a 3-4 (or 3-3-5) you have three fat guys on the field. With a 4-3 you have 4 slightly less fat guys on the field. The problem is with a 4-3 those 4 slightly less fat guys are still too slow and you have one less speedy defender on the field than a 3-4.

Since the start of the 2018 season, Arnett’s defensive unit has ranked inside the top 15 nationally in:

Rushing yards allowed per game (1st – 89.6)
Rushing yards allowed per carry (1st – 2.9)
Fewest 30-point games allowed (T1st – 2)
Fewest 40-point games allowed (T1st – 0 … one of just six teams)
Percentage of big plays allowed (2nd – 9.2) with only 153 of 1,658 opponent plays gaining either a 12-plus yard run or 15-plus yard pass
Percentage of drives that they kept their opponent from crossing the 50-yard line (4th – 61.3)
Percentage drives that their opponent covered less than 25 yards (4th – 60.1)
Percentage drives holding their opponent scoreless (6th – 76.3)
Points per play allowed (10th – 0.3) and points per possession allowed (10th – 1.3)
Yards allowed per play (14th – 4.9)

Sounds good, as long as you are ok with Roy and Guillory in the portal and kiss Masson good bye with the move I guess your approach will work. Maybe Ika returns at nose.
