Not sure what restrictions TD installed, but I was able to sell my GME yesterday and buy more this morning pre-market.

I had a lengthy discussion with a ToS support rep in order to understand the parameters of the restrictions against GME, AMC, etc. I have a put calendar spread with a long 5 Mar 68 that I was looking to sell shorter dated puts against.
Ameritrade isn't allowing the opening of any short positions against these stocks, regardless of whether or not you're hedged like I am. Any short calls that expire ITM where the seller is due to be put the stock, Ameritrade will close the short position because they don't have any stock to short.
It seems to me like this will make the short issue even worse, which will cause the stock to go up. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
