I think you're misunderstanding what the play is here. There aren't enough shares for them to buy back to close their original short positions. They are paying ridiculous amounts of money everyday to hold these shorts open as the stock keeps rising. People on wsb, including my dumbass, have set limit orders at insane prices. IF they get margin called, they will have to buy the shares at whatever the limit order sells are set at in order to close.

I bought in for the first time when the stock was at 14$. I could give a frick less if it tanks 20% in a day. I will simply sit and wait them out.

I get it, but everyone in this thing is not set up like you and some of the other long holders.

People will get scared. People will sell at big losses. Especially those that just jump on board because they see the giant moves and aren't in tune with the goal of the reddit "mission". It's just human nature.

There will be losers. There are always losers.

Sounds like they shouldn't be investing then. Investing is a gamble, 100%.

For GME at this moment, if you wanted to get in, just put in what you are comfortable with. I"ve noticed that most of the days, it dips hard around 10am and then starts trending back up around or after lunch. Don't buy at 9am unless you just don't care. But there is still money to be maid on GME. Shorts have to pay larger interest rates and the higher the price goes, the more of a risk it is, which means higher rates to make up for that risk. Buying the stock doesn't have this added problem. They already down a lot, unless they are trying to do a quick wealth transfer, which it may end up being just that.
