It reminds me of high school classifications. The SEC is 6A. The Big 10 and ACC are 5A. The Big 12 is like a private school division that’s hard to quantify. The PAC 12, AAC and Sunbelt are 4A. The rest of the G5 is 3A. FCS is 2A except for the SWAC and MEAC which are 1A.
