Doesn't work that way. The insurance company will charge him as if she is the primary for the most valuable car on the policy because she is covered for all vehicles in the household now. The only way he can bypass that is to prove she doesn't live in the household. That being said Geico is solid insurance and that's really a decent price for a 16 year old.

I have a sports car, so I "excluded" my teenager as a driver. This kept the rate in check. BUT, he literally can't drive the vehicle. He has never driven it to this day.
