This means they are expecting Zion to develop his offensive game. Some people didn’t like the fit. Signing him to an extension puts faith in Zion’s shot. Also shows that the Pels know it’s gonna take Jaxson some years. A two year deal means in three years, maybe Jaxson becomes the starter.

By the time Jaxson becomes starter quality, he’ll be sent in the disgruntled star trade anyways
