They are your team, you pull for them, I respect that. Your attitude is good, and your posts within the realm of reason. But I've been on this board long enough, the crazies come in with no intention other than to flame. No need to apologize for them, it happens every week, once the season gets started.

Their last post is usually on Saturday afternoon. Very few have the nads to come back after getting beat down.

Although my party will be on a bus on the way to Mississippi to stay in a hotel after the game. Still psyched from the game, but tired as crap because of marching. Then I'll get back to Boone on Sunday at around 11pm. Thank goodness that Monday is Labor Day.

Most of the delusional ones will leave. I think I might stay around, if I have enough time once I get back to school. I have enjoyed this board for the most part. Some stupid threads here and there, but that's to be expected.

I had a thread that I started move there today. The title is "A little off-topic, but I'm curious"

I was getting people's opinions on putting football as an Olympic sport. Overheard people talking about it and was seeing other's opinions.

Moustache: You're getting married the day of the LSU game?!?! I'm so sorry. Well, not that you're getting married, but that it's that day. If there's a particular reason, that's cool! My boyfriend's brother is getting married on Halloween which is our big game against Wofford. He's the best man, and even though he loves his brother, is not happy that it's that night. ESPN had to be stupid...AGAIN!!!

Oh yeah...and 5 degrees of separation is great!

I've got a teaching degree from App, never used it and I'll be happy to compare W-2's with you Moustache ASU boy...assuming you don't get paid by the piece rate or the hour..

You didn't even read the thread. So, go back and read. Yeah, you have a good team by FCS standards. Outside of a Michigan team that would beat ASU by 30 points had they met again, the only wins against FBS opponents are against the mighty Wake Forest teams before they could win 4 games a year.

That pretty much sums it up ... you must have had to take notes weeding through the previous 5 pages. Looking forward to seeing how App State fares on Sept. 30 ... should be a good indicator of how they'll do this year without Jackson and Richardson.

yeah, that was the only way that my mother and father could make it because of labor day. They live in Chattanooga and need to have an extra day for travel. At least it's not deep into the season for anniversary purposes. LSU usually doesn't have a big game on the first game. Unfortunately, I have to admit this one is one that I'd love to watch.

First of all I want to say that the quote that got this whole thing started is completely absurd. Every team has a group of select homers that are always going to leave comments like that just to troll.

We are not all that bad, I personally think my expectations are very reasonable for this game. I am going into it the EXACT way I went into the Michigan game...don't get anyone hurt, try and hang in there and if it gets to far away take them out. If we hadn't beat Michigan this year no one would be talking about the upset, nor would we have had the majority of our future FBS opponents bail on us...It is nice to be the best team in NC though. (Wake and UNC wont play us)

I have seen several things mentioned about the last game we played...24-0...the statements were correct that we missed a lot of opportunities, but LSU did too...this game was good and things could have gone differently, but the bottom line is they didn't and the score was 24-0...We did take out our starters after one of our WR's broke his leg. Why wouldn't we...it was 14-0 and we hadn't scored on several chances...it wasn't close enough to risk another injury to maybe(slim chance) come back...

honestly though in general I have really enjoyed this board...a few ignorant homers, but who doesn't have them...I have always liked LSU and when I found out this game was being moved up a year I made plans to come down. If for nothing else to be in death valley. I unlike many people to whom you were referring will be hanging around after the game regardless of the outcome as a football fan in general.

Very true and I would love to have the chance to play them, but they won't play us...too much at stake recruiting wise I assume. Why go to Wake when 2 hours away I could go to a team where I can get a ring?

I know the FCS isn't very respected by 99% of LSU fans, but quality football is still played here.

while the SEC is still the top conference in football and not even debatable, Appalachian could come into some FBS conferences and hang with the top teams. I think FBS needs to learn something from FCS and have a playoff...ASU wouldn't have even been playing for a national championship without the playoff system, and LSU almost got left out...and other year they probably would have, but were the best team and everyone knew it.

My point exactly...I think that yes...24-0 for a 1-A vs a 1-AA school is kinda close, as far as the difference of points, BUT us scoring 0, doesn't say much about us during the game.
