I'm just genuinely curious where he's at on the spectrum. If his definition of "life begins" is simply the fertilization of the egg but not implantation then it gets awfully complicated.

By his definition, if he's dating anyone on the pill or an IUD then they've potentially had an abortion every 28 days (depending on the pill type). If it's as simple as his perception of science states, then he can't say abortion should be banned without saying all non-barrier methods of birth control should be banned.
