does anyone know what the deal is with freshmen student tickets for this year?
is it a lottery like i have been hearing or is it like it always has been, first come first serve?
does anyone know when the freshmen will be able to register for them?

It is first come first serve. You will get an e-mail in the coming days telling you what day to log on. You'll have to get up early and log in to get your tickets during the assigned time.

First rule: Freshmen dont ask questions about tickets.
Second rule: Freshman dont ask questions.
Third rule: I dont know man. My freshman year it was a lottery, but that was when all greeks got two tickets. Almost no freshman got tickets those days. Glad they changed it. Good luck.

If any tickets are left after basically everyone else on the planet orders their tickets, surplus tics go into a lottery for the freshman.
It doesn't look good for you bud.

INCOMING LSU STUDENTS
Incoming first-year LSU students who meet all requirements will be sent an email detailing ordering instructions in late August. After the ordering periods for all returning students have expired, any remaining tickets will be made available to incoming students via a lottery process. Incoming students will have two days in late August to place an online request to enter the season ticket lottery. As many tickets as possible will then be randomly assigned to students who placed requests. Exact dates of the registration period will be announced when they are finalized.
It doesn't look good for you bud.

Last year it was log on at your assigned time and most who tried, got them. This year it's different: any remaining tix will be sold by a lottery to incoming students who have put in a request after receiving an e-mail in late aug. More info
