Many people see the relaxing of laws concerning cannabis as being good for the existing companies in the production business. The reality is that it will be their death.
When Texas or even Louisiana allows anyone to produce cannabis then cannabis will become a commodity just like corn. The RIO Grande Valley of Texas could provide all the demand for cannabis for the entire USA easily. These greenhouse growers will not stand a chance.
No one has established a cannabis brand that cannot be taken down with cheaper dope.
I see both sides of it, yes I can see the commodity play; however, similar to other vices alcohol, tobacco and gaming - I'm not sure I see any type of interstate commerce any time soon as the states will want to keep the tax revenue etc.
