I came into town late and it looks like pretty much everything other than a couple of fast food places are closed
Guess I didn't realize the extent to which things are still shut down here.

New Orleans is closed.
See you in 2021, or when we have a new mayor.

I just don't see how any of the late night businesses survive. I didn't realize shite was still like that. And sounds like it's a state wide thing. But what is preventing a late night diner or something from being open?

I can't see how this won't have huge tax revenue implications for the city. There is no draw for tourists right now imo

Is Popeyes not open either? When I was at UNO in 1978 we would get food at Popeyes after a night of partying. At 3AM there was a line outside!

Don't know. Was honestly looking for a dine in option.

It will but since when have progressive democrats ever given a shite about that?
She’s demanding federal bailout money after she cripples the city.
Tail as old as time for the progressive left of this country. Self inflict a wound and then demand someone else fix it.
I’m tired of it. Let it all burn. And tell the fire department not to pick up the phone.

Call Gator's OU mean like big Republican donating businesses screwing themselves with bad loans or stock BuyBacks and then asking for corporate welfare? Or do you mean like when Republicans took us to a war in the Middle East over a bunch of bulshit and back to the taxpayers to get on board? Or maybe when the last three Republican presidents ended their presidency in a recession and needed to Democrats to fix it? How fair and even-handed of you

I’ve never once supported this. But a democrat bashing welfare is hypocritically hilarious.

Trump did not involve us in a single new conflict.
Obama set drone strike records.

Hyper inflation and massive government deficit spending is not fixing anything. It’s a small bandaid on a gunshot wound.
I don’t blindly support either party and I have plenty of problems with both of them

You have to be joking. Obama set drone strike records when he was president but then Donald Trump completely obliterated those records. Do you even read anything other than right-wing news?

Again you missed the point. I was talking about how big business and Republicans don't like taxes but are very quick to ask for corporate welfare. That's quite a bit different then the left who would like to tax slightly higher so that we can take care of our society with safety net programs. Our quality of life doesn't even crack the top 10 compared to countries who have better safety net programs. And they don't have to be socialist to do it. Keep up dude.

So Trump spending more than any president previous, before covid-19, but lowering taxes make sense to you? I want you to step back and think about what you said and remember that reality is right in front of you.

Well I can agree with that

I don't live in louisiana so I don't follow local news here
On a related note I found a few bars that are just openly violating the 11 pm cut off. Good to have alcoholic friends I guess
