How can we not think we are in trouble at QB,no experience and we compete in the best conference in the land.

How hard can it be to simply manage the game and hand the ball off to your RB's or flip it to Trindon, Dickson etc? The strength of our offensive line will also be a tremendous blessing.

Guilbeau is either captain obvious, captain negative, or both in every article that he writes.

Guess GG knows more than a guy that:
has been a Offensive Coordinator, Quarterback Coach, Head Coach and Passing Game Coordinator.
has stops at Oregon, BYU, Chicago Bears, Louisiana Tech, Georgia Tech, Boston College and New Hampshire.
A year ago, as OC had the LSU offense set 10 school records, including points in a season (541), points per game (38.6) and touchdowns scored (64), on its way to posting a 12-2 overall mark. Other single-season school records set in 2007 include rushing TDs (35), passes attempted (442), passes completed (256), total yards (6,152), total plays (1,054) and first downs (316). LSU also scored at least 40 points a school-record seven times in 2007.*
*The Tigers enjoyed all of their offensive success in 2007 employing a balanced attack, one that had LSU averaging 214.1 rushing yards per game and another 225.3 passing yards a contest. The Tigers also put up their record-setting numbers with a running back-by-committee approach for most of the year, with a first-time starting quarterback in Matt Flynn, who was hobbled for several games with an ankle injury and missed the SEC Championship Game altogether with a shoulder injury, and perhaps the most explosive player on the team in wideout Early Doucet missing five games with a groin injury.
A coach hired by the Bears:
Jauron wasted no time in assembling his coaching staff, and made waves by naming Gary Crowton, his new offensive coordinator. This move was significant in that Crowton employed a wide-open offensive scheme, using the shotgun on first and second downs, 5 receivers, three tight ends, anything to try to create mismatches on the defense. It would be the first time the NFL would see such a wide-open offensive scheme, and many questioned Crowton's razzle-dazzle offense at the pro level.
In his first year with the Bears in 1999, Crowton’s offense ranked No. 3 in the NFL in passing with an average of 258.5 yards per game. That year, the Bears established a franchise record with 4,136 passing yards behind a trio of quarterbacks.
Why not question a guy that has sent seven quarterbacks into the NFL Draft.

if the qb situation was indeed that how GG depicts it, do you think any LSU coach would publicly say that?

And we'll never win anything with a two QB system.

I think people are foolish if they think our QBs aren't going to have to make some plays to help us win and there is a good possibility they will struggle.
However, Guilbeau making those comments is simply Guilbeau being a Guilbeau. Jefferson and Lee are both more talented than any QB LSU put on the field during that 4 year period.

So let me get this straight. The coaches wouldn't publicly state that the quarterback situation is deplorable, but (apparently) they would confide that fact to the most negative, ignorant, rumor-mongering member of the media? Or did Guilbeau ascertain the state of the quarterback situation himself based on three thirty minute snippets of practice? Or perhaps he hasn't even been to practice and Guilbeau divined the quality of our quarterbacks by reading chicken entrails.
Guilbeau is and always has been a sensationalist dotard.

like many in the industry he knew he couldn't make it on his own talent and insight, therefore he just needs to keep people pissed off. For some reason football fans love to search out people to piss them off...and now with the Internet, you can pretty much stay pissed off all day

go watch Crowton's media day interview on lsusports.net. He sounded VERY excited about the QBs and offense this year. I am/was very worried about QB situation but Crowton eased those worries a little bit w/ his extreme confidence in the offense this year. He was almost giddy.
