Katt Williams tried to address that roast, without comment, in one of his specials.

He was asked to stand on stage as Flav was dropped from the ceiling on a wire and yell out "Oh look, its a flying monkey!" And he felt horrible about it and asked Flav "How on Earth can you do this racist shite?" and Flav said "CUZ THEY GOTS TO PAY ME, BOI!"

He says it like a punchline, but as I said, with no comment on whether Flav is bad for bojangling for VH1 money or smart for hustling, or...is the story not even true and Katt is just clowning on Flav, doing his own racist dance.
