Brennan has a problem with 3rd down. If he cant get by 0/10 then he wont be on the field if others can do better. He has trouble sustaining drives. His passing game is pretty good but what gets you the awards is winning. He was unable to march down and get a TD against Moo State when we needed it and we wiffed at the half yard line at Mizzou.

They call that the IT factor and we dont know if Finley or Johnson have it or not but Brennan is not converting and playing consistently to complete drives when they are needed. I will agree that we scored enough points to win every game but we lost 2 games that could have been won by the offense with one more score.

I said in a couple of threads that the defense stats did not improve a whole lot against USCe but at least we got stops. And add to that going 8/10 on 3rd down and clocking almost 40 min of TOP went a long way to helping that defense.

It's amazing to me how ridiculous some of you really are.

The "It" factor.

Man, Joe Burrow has spoiled a bunch of you guys. Brennan is literally having one of the best starts for a QB in LSU history and people are on here saying he "doesn't have the It factor".

Can we at least wait and see if he'll get the same kind of protection and some semblance of a running game (which TJ had both) before we start talking about benching the kid?

The running game and offensive line play you speak of are a direct result of Finley being able to run the ball which adds another dimension the defense must cover which helps the offensive line. When the quarterback is a statue, the pass rushers can go all out.
