These are both common clearing routes for running plays up the middle. Think about it, an out is one of the longest throws on the field. It’s not a hot route or “pop pass” as you say.

I don’t care what that site says, it probably uses some algorithm to determine a “likely” play call based on formation and some of the activity. They were QB draws and most people who understand how a RPO and read option offense works, know that to be correct.

Yes, very common on RPO running plays!!!!!!! This is classic - RPO’s are designed to be passed quickly. Whatever you want to call the route is irrelevant. They’re quick hitters
