people globally are doing more then they ever have to prevent influenza spread. Are we really shocked that seasonal flu numbers are way down?
The takeaway here is that these measures are effective against seasonal flu, but havent really worked against covid. In fact, european nations with the strictest measures are being ravaged by new cases, so why are we still doing it?

It isn't way down, it's basically eradicated at 98%.
20 or 30% offhand I could believe but 98%?

No, not shocked at all. The flu can’t be used for political gain.
But down? Come the frick on! 98% doesn’t seem a little off to you?its essentially been wiped from the Earth?

Why would this be the case? Aren’t they both respiratory viruses that spread the exact same way? Sincere question.
