Correct, the armed insurrection they want is against the cops/government aka "Red Coats". An excellent example is Whiskey Warrior 556 who tOT was overwhelmingly supporting during his IG meltdown.
Assigning political affiliations with them is rather ridiculous despite the way they overwhelmingly vote. But pure general ideology could be noted as far-libertarian. Even then to suggest they share like ideology with the average libertarian (or Republican) is as silly as making the same connection with BLM and the Democrats. Both BLM and the Boogaloo Boys are far from cohesive groups and far from having a unified agenda. You really have to take each individual and judge them on their own actions.
