It's a fricking chain restaurant. So many better, local places to eat BBQ in that area.

I would respectfully disagree about your assessment of #2. It's a US Open course for a reason and to have the ability to play it makes it a must play for me. I got fortunate enough to play a college tournament there and the experience was fantastic.

I’m sure there is much better. When you got 1 hour till your next tee time you go to closest in between and keep it moving

I’m sure for a college level player the course is as good as it gets.
When you have a 16 handicapper in your group you take that into consideration.
